Job Description
Through a network of over 80 branches in the UK, our client distributes electrical products from leading manufacturers in all electrical areas including lighting, lamps, cables, wiring accessories, safety & security and ventilation.
They are currently looking to recruit a Branch Assistant to join them at the Working branch to develop profitable business in line with commercial objectives and in a manner that exceeds the expectations of customers.
Within the role you will be responsible for proactively selling to both existing and new customers in order to meet and exceed sales and margin targets, continually working to build and develop the customer base at the branch and contributing to the team in terms of sales action plans and customer development. A degree of flexibility is essential for this role as you will be required to carry out various roles and duties in the branch including Stores, Telesales and Trade Counter Sales while maintaining the highest possible levels of service quality for Customers.
Candidates for this role will ideally have business to business experience preferably in a distribution/wholesale organisation, preferably with a background of contracting and/or industrial electrical products with knowledge of the electrical industry including competitors and suppliers. Educated to GCSE level or equivalent standard, you will ideally hold higher level qualifications (e.g. National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ’s), A Levels, Certificate or Diploma in Management Studies, etc.)
As you will be required to deputise in the absence of the Branch Manager, you must be willing and able to take on leadership responsibilities and act as a role model to staff while continually looking for ways to improve the service offering.
